Who are The Private Domain Company (TPDC)?
The Private Domain Company has a service which hides your personal information from pubic view when you register a domain name. This information can include your name, address, email address, telephone number and more. It is viewable through the publicly-searchable WHOIS database. The Private Domain Company service replaces this information with the details of our privacy service, so your data stays safe.

Once you have purchased our privacy service, no-one can access your personal details using Whois lookups again.

Which domain names can I get this service for?
.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name, .cc, .tv and .me domains. You can also hide your details if you are an individual registering a .uk domain. This is done using the .uk WHOIS opt-out and is free. You'll be given this option when you buy a .uk domain.

How do I get TPDC privacy?
If you're buying a new domain name, you can add The Private Domain Company during the order process. To add The Private Domain Companyto a domain you already own, log in to your 123-reg control panel.

How long can I buy The Private Domain Companyfor?
You can buy our privavcy service annually. Please note that The Private Domain Company costs are not refundable. This means if you purchase The Private Domain Company for a domain you are planning to let expire, you may not claim a refund for the period after your domain expires.

What information will be displayed for my domain name?
Our name, London PO Box address, telephone number and a unique email address information will be displayed in place of your own details. People with legitimate queries about your domain can still get in touch. We will forward messages onto your main mail address if you wish.

Can I choose what information to display?
No. There are strict regulations about what information can be displayed. It is important that a member of the public can contact you if they have a questions about your domain. Our service ensures this is still possible.

Do I still own my domain name?
Yes. The service protects your privacy. It does not change who owns your domain name
